In a unexpected crossover event that defies usual forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering free bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Disclosed

According to the authorized statement, "An unusual confrontation leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where rumors of prohibited practices and monstrous changes reverberate through the darkness." The narrative features a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who charges the duo with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a hidden sect.

The mission centers on "bizarre experiments and a terrifying foe" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Settings and Transformations

The trailer highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser concludes with a striking sequence showing a character, presumably the captive, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who accomplish the adventure will receive an exclusive katana alongside numerous objects hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
